Fendall Hall was built by Edward Young, one of
Eufaula's leading citizens, around 1860. After
serving as home for five generations of Youngs and
their descendants, the house is now open to the
public. It was purchased by the Alabama Historical
Commission (AHC) in 1973 for preservation as a house
museum. It is restored and interpreted to the
1880-1916 occupancy of the home.

Open for tours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
and Saturday 10 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00
p.m. Closed on Sunday and Wednesday. Open other
times for events by appointment. Closed all state
holidays.
Directions: Take US 431or US 82 to downtown Eufaula.
Travel west on Barbour Street approximately one
mile. Fendall Hall is located on the left-hand side
of the street.
Regular programs at the site: Annual Eufaula
pilgrimage, 1st weekend in April. Holiday children's
